A SCOPE® Training
A SCOPE® user training is available at the Active Signal Technologies facility in Linthicum, MD. Training classes can also be requested at a customer's facility. All training classes require a minimum of 3 weeks advance notice. Training can be conducted for individuals or groups but the class size is limited to a maximum of 10 people. Bookings will be made on a first come first served basis.
Course Content
- Introduction to the device and its application environment
- Basic operating instructions (controls, manipulation and positioning techniques)
- Explanation of the theory of operation.
- Distinction from conventional auscultation (sounds, locations, medical interpretation)
- Technical and medical background useful in proper positioning of the A SCOPE® and interpretation of its audible returns.
- Hands-on training (self-application, use on volunteers)
- Practice session in high noise (where appropriate audio equipment and hearing protection are available)
- Additional course elements may be requested in advance
- Review question and answer session
- Open discussion and questions

Notes:
* Training sessions are limited to 6 hours. Typically the training can be completed effectively in less time but the 6 hour limit provides flexibility to tailor sessions and work with different experience levels.
** Training sessions can accommodate up to 10 people. For larger groups, multiple classes must be scheduled and the cost of training and travel is incremented for each additional group of up to 10 people.
